GMB North West & Irish Region were able to get a couple of slots on LCR (Liverpool Community Radio) to discuss all things good about the GMB and being a member, we also discussed campaigns we have on the go at this minute ie NHS, Carillion and Zero hour contracts to name just a few.
Lisa Ryan, George Patterson and Neil Smith did the shows with Lisa and George having a major input and putting over a very good case of why being a Union member is more important now than it has ever been and that the only Union to be part of is the GMB.
Lisa spoke in depth on the systematic break up of the NHS and how privatisation is sneaking in through the back door and how people can get involved to safeguard the NHS going forward.
George spoke in depth of how we the GMB are a campaigning Union and how we support our members right across the board from disputes at work to accidents at work or in the home and what is available to them as GMB members such as the Credit Union, access to a solicitor and most importantly professional advise about issues in the workplace.
