In April 2013 the Government changed the rules to enable lawyers to take away up to 25% of an injured persons compensation. Law firms who offer the usual “no win no fee” are now able to do this, which leaves the injured person out of pocket.
This makes membership of the GMB even more crucial because provided that you comply with the conditions for legal services, Simpsons Solicitors will never take away any of a GMB member’s compensation and you will always receive 100% of any compensation you are awarded.
