PRIDE BOLTON

Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th Bolton Town Centre from 10am

Bolton Pride is a non-for-profit organisation which brings together the diverse communities of Bolton, organising a number of events throughout the year that celebrate local LGBT+ communities.

Our mission is a hate crime awareness campaign derived from hate crime statistics when they were at their highest in Bolton.

Bolton Pride has been involved in the partnerships that lead the way locally to raise awareness, signpost people to hate crime reporting centres and support networks including the Greater Manchester area.

Bolton Pride works to develop community cohesion, while building partnerships addressing experiences of hate in Bolton.

We work to provide opportunities for empowerment, participation, inclusion, advocacy, partnership, celebration and normalisation of the LGBTQ+ Allies with unity in.

WIGAN PRIDE

Wigan Town Centre, Saturday 13th August from 10am

Wigan Pride promotes and celebrates equality and diversity by bringing together arts, music, street parade and positive messages at a big annual event in Wigan.

We also support smaller activities that encourage equality across the borough throughout the year. Led by the LGBTQ+ community of Wigan Borough and supported by Wigan Council and Wigan Borough CCG. We also rely on the support of local businesses and local people to help us make each Wigan Pride event bigger and better.

As well as offering a fantastic day of entertainment for the whole family, Wigan Pride also helps remind our local community that equal rights are often hard won and should not be taken for granted. Celebrating equality helps us to value the importance of it and make sure that it continues.

Wigan Pride includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
