International Workers Memorial Day is a day when we remember all those who have died because of work. In the UK since records were kept, more than 50,000 people have died because of exposure to hazardous substances, to chemicals and toxic working practices, including 5,000 from across the North West.

After protracted negotiations and a week of Industrial action, GMB union have secured increases over the length of two years and a one-off payment for a pay freeze for 2020.
For 2020 - £420 (1.5%) one-off payment
1st March 2021 - 3.25%

GMB union members delighted that the Supreme Court has dismissed the Asda appeal.
