At our Branch Meeting in December the members gave us a mandate to continue with our action for the legacy Paramedics.
Paramedics are being stabbed, throttled, and sexually assaulted as shameful new figures show assaults on crew members have risen by one THIRD.
The other unions have written a joint response stating that they will now review their options. The GMB held a branch meeting on the day we found out the outcome and yes we were notified by way of the global email that was sent out to staff.
NHS Staff have now received their pay increase and back pay. ‘Disappointed’ is just one of the many feelings which have been expressed by loyal and dedicated NHS Staff who have already endured almost a decade of real terms pay cuts.
GMB trade union cover for members working in health care in both NHS and Private Sector. Employers providing health care have a duty of care and vicariously liable for the actions of their employees. GMB expects that any NHS authority or employer in the health and care industry would use their own liability policy to defend their employees. The GMB policy provides GMB members with Contingent Indeminity cover, which would be used to protect you from your employer's failings.
Talks have been ongoing with the employer and ACAS which have resulted in an agreement to have an independent investigation into the reasons for the delayed evaluation of the role dating back to 2004.
