GMB trade union call on North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust to remove unfair staff car parking charges. We believe that it's unfair that staff should pay to park at work. We also believe that it's unfair that substantial profit is made from these charges, and we can evidence this is the case as we have submitted a freedom of information request to the Trust and have been provided with the data.
We have asked the Trust to remove these unfair charges at the Partnership Forum and their initial response will is that this helps to pay for patient care. Will all pay our taxes for patient care, and we believe our members should not be taxed again just for coming into work.
