Campaign organisation JUST A BALL GAME? (JBG?) are very pleased announce their first online #StrongerTogether event will takes place in partnership with GMB Trade Union on Saturday 19th June 2021.
It is time the board stopped thinking about just the money and considered their long serving colleagues’ job security and offering real choice to customers.
For the past weeks we have been in consultation with ASDA over the proposals to end scratch baking, replace with part baked products and make our skilled bakers redundant.

There is a double whammy health risk from COVID-19. The first obviously is catching the virus, with the possibility of death or long Covid, both with devastating effects, impacting on families and our communities.

The Disabled Workers Group currently meet every 6-8 weeks
The regions Disabled Workers Group held their first event on Microsoft Teams this week. The event saw some of our disabled activists sharing their experiences in work, while travelling and also had some practical guidance around benefit advice.
Today we remember all those who have died as a result of work and promise to fight for all those at risk.
International Workers Memorial Day is a day when we remember all those who have died because of work. In the UK since records were kept, more than 50,000 people have died because of exposure to hazardous substances, to chemicals and toxic working practices, including 5,000 from across the North West.
This month of April we remember deaths at work across the world on International Workers Memorial Day (April 28)
The Health & Safety At Work Act was introduced in 1974, after decades of campaigning by trade unions to bring better protection to working people.
