For the first time in our joint history covering almost 40 years, ASDA has agreed to let the GMB Trade Union run rolling access to 50 stores across the country to speak to ASDA colleagues about GMB Trade Union and the benefits of membership.
GMB Trade Union already looks after thousands of GMB members working in ASDA all over the UK and this is a chance to increase that number, making GMB Trade Union even stronger in the workplace. there are more ASDA members in the North West and Irish Region than any other GMB Trade Union region so we play a key role in making GMB trade Union stronger in ASDA.
So far the tour has been a very positive exercise and should lead to a much more open, constructive relationship between GMB Trade Union and ASDA. The stores in this trial are: Wigan, Birchwood, Huyton, Pilsworth, Aintree, Walton, Burnley and Hulme
