GMB union says Save our NHS

The GMB Trade Union, Britain’s general Trade Union, have been campaigning to stop the fragmentation of the NHS.  Across the UK there are campaigns to raise awareness of the damage being done by the Coalition Government to what is arguably one of the last great British institutions left. It is not surprising it was the envy of the world and yet our own Government want to sell it off piece by piece.

 

Here in the North West we have started gathering signatures for a petition to “Save Our NHS”. So far we have had huge support and with further dates in the coming weeks, we expect to have a substantial response. We then aim to present this petition to the Shadow Health Secretary, Andy Burnham MP, so that he can take back to the Commons exactly what the strength of feeling for the support of the NHS is here in the North West.
