The above Conference will be held on Wednesday, 13 November 2013 at GMB Regional Office, in the Bill Smith Education Suite from 11.00 am to 2.30 pm.
As this is a motion based Conference, Branches are invited to nominate one delegate along with an equality themed motion. The closing date for both delegates and motions is Friday, 1st November 2013, after which only emergency motions will be allowed to be submitted. Please note no motion will be accepted where there is no Branch delegate.
The Conference will be seeking nominations for up to five regional delegates who will attend the 2014 National Equality Conference as part of our regional delegation. As with all GMB Regional Conferences, paid release must be agreed with your employer in advance in order to attend.
Lunch will be provided and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed after the Conference on production of a valid receipt. Places are limited so priority will be given to REF members and to those Branches that have nominated a delegate and submitted a motion.
Please complete the details of your delegate and motion in the template provided and return to Regional Office in the enclosed freepost envelope by no later than Friday, 1st November 2013.
All successful delegates will receive confirmation of a secured place as soon as possible.
Delegates’ packs will arrive no later than one week prior to the Conference.
