On the 29/04/2022 members should have received an e-mail from the GMB trade union Northwest & Irish Region advising that GMB union will be meeting shortly to agree the NJC Pay Claim for 2022/2023 across England, Wales & Northern Ireland.
We are asking all our members to complete the NJC Pay Claim Survey 2022/2023. The survey closes on Friday 20th May 2022. Survey's will also be sent out via WhatsApp.
Tell us what you think and which option you prefer for the next claim. If you work in the council, school, academy, contractor etc, and your pay is covered by the NJC then you need to complete this survey.
Please bear in mind the current rate of inflation and the cost-of-living crisis.

The 'Joint Local Government & Schools Committee Meeting' took place on Tuesday 26th April to discuss the national pay claim and current position. Local Government & Schools Committee will meet again on Thursday 26th May 2022 after the results of the survey have been collated to decide and get Committees and National stance. We will endeavour to keep you updated and the next steps.
