Continuing Education at the University of Liverpool provides short courses, lectures and events throughout Merseyside. The new 2017/18 programme offers day-time, evening and Saturday courses in a number of subjects including business studies, information technology, art, science and engineering, health and life sciences, history and much more.
The programme aims to inspire and motivate. A self-made successful businessman will open their doors offering working experience with a difference and an opportunity to be mentored directly by him himself.

“As GMB members, colleagues and most of all friends, we were all saddened to learn recently of the passing of our beloved National President Mary Turner. She slipped away peacefully with her loving family around her and joins her much loved husband Denny who she lost not so long ago.
This year, our chair, Ruth Pitchford attended Tolpuddle Festival as a part of the GMB Young Members history school and enjoyed the whole experience. The young members were given the chance to explore the village where the Tolpuddle Martyrs once lived and worked. From the church’s to where they ministered on Sunday Mornings to the tree where the 6 workers met.
The government has suffered a humiliating defeat after the Supreme Court ruled that employment tribunal fees are inconsistent with access to justice and as a result the Ministry of justice has said it would take “immediate steps to stop charging fees in employment tribunals and put in place arrangements to refund those who have paid”.
