In mid-February ASDA tabled proposals which included the restructuring of hours and outsourcing security in supermarkets to Cardinal.
This has been a worrying and stressful time for all concerned.
GMB argued throughout the collective consultation process that supermarket security should remain in-house.
We are glad to report that ASDA has listened to representations and will not be going forward with the present proposals.
This means the consultation has stopped and security colleagues are no longer in consultation.
This is good news.
