The Central Executive Council (CEC) met today, 5th November 2020, and discussed the position of a replacement Acting General Secretary following the announcement of John Phillips' retirement on 31st December 2020.

SAVE MANCHESTER FAYRE
We have been informed that members working within Manchester Fayre (Manchester City Council school meals provider) have been told that the council is going to consider at Executive Committee on the 11th of November no longer providing a School Meals Service from September 2021.
In a nutshell this means that all staff will be either TUPED to their individual school or the school would have to choose their own provider.
It is a health and safety issue, a matter of life or death in some cases and we don’t apologise for demanding that employers take every precaution to provide control measures to deal with this deadly pandemic.
