A vacancy has arisen in the GMB Southern Region for a Membership Development Officer and applications are sought from those who are suitably qualified. I attach a copy of the Job Description for the Membership Development Officer.
The Membership Development Officers will play a fundamental part in maintaining and improving upon the Region's recruitment levels. Applicants should submit in writing, for the attention of myself as Regional Secretary, an application covering their name, workplace experience, both as a lay member and Officer, their trade union education undertaken and a brief resume of not more than 200 words, explaining the candidate's understanding of the role of Membership Development Officer and how workplace recruitment and organisation should be tackled, together with details of any recruitment and organisation campaigns which the applicant has either initiated or been involved in.
