Ban Glysophate says GMB it is carcinogenic
20 May 2016

As a brief update a second vote was planned to be held in Brussels yesterday, however due to several countries abstaining the vote was not held. I believe that Germany abstained which is very interesting since many health and safety officers have been using Germanys perceived support for Glyphosate as a key factor in justifying spraying known Carcinogenic chemicals on our streets, in our parks and around our schools and hospital grounds.

There is a definite change in the feelings around Glyphosate - cases against Monsanto in the USA are now coming to the fore, France has said that regardless of the EU decision Glyphosate will be banned in France from next year, there are now possibilities that if the licence isn't renewed before the end of June then Glyphosate will be banned. I personally doubt that it will be totally banned (sadly) but we have until next Tuesday, when another attempt to get a vote through could happen, to apply more pressure.
