Petition for walk in centre at Southport
8 April 2019

GMB North West & Irish region is supporting the call for a walk in centre in Southport and urging members to sign the petition being organised by prospective parliamentary candidate Liz Savage.

Southport does not currently have it's own walk in centre unlike Ormskirk and Skelmersdale. As a result some people within the Sefton CCG area and West Lancashire CCG area are having to travel over 10 miles to a Walk in Centre.

A Walk in Centre in Southport would alleviate pressures on the overstretched A&E services at Southport, could allow for basic diagnostics to occur and for minor injuries to be treated, including children who would only need to go to Ormskirk for more major A&E issues.
