Today is Election Day for many and we urge you to please make your way to your local polling station and VOTE, here are the elections that will probably be affecting the members in our region.
- Northern Ireland Assembly
- Local council elections in England
- Police and crime commissioner elections
- Mayoral Elections in Liverpool and Salford
- English Local Authorities x 124 Councils, all seats in Knowsley
- Unitary Authority Warrington also has all seats up for election
You should have received a polling card or postal voting pack in the post, but don’t worry if not. As long as you have registered to vote you can do so at the polling station, Postal Voting Packs can also be handed in if not posted yet. Voting is the only way we can change this government and influence government policy, please take a moment and place your vote.
Regional secretary Paul McCarthy said:’’ We have some strong Labour candidates in our region, people who have taken an interest in the GMB policy in our region and will make a strong representation for us. I would ask every GMB member in the region to get out and vote and encourage your family members to vote too’’.
