A recent CEC Meeting agreed the "Action on Decisions" paper which sets out who has lead responsibility for following through the Reports, Motions and Rule Amendments carried at our Congress in June this year.
There are a number of measures in place to ensure greater transparency and accountability on what happens to motions carried by Congress. Motions have been allocated to Regions, Sections and Departments and GMB Officers to implement action to be taken, incorporate into their policy work for 2016/17 and to report back through the appropriate formal Committee reporting structures.
However, Motion 7 agreed by Congress 2015 called for a report of progress on carried Congress motions to provide information on action taken and a time scale for implementation. As a result, we will be tracking the progress on all the carried Motions agreed by Congress 2016 on a regular basis.
